Google Plus was the front runner, but their <a title=\"The Google Plus api is read only\" href=\"https:\/\/developers.google.com\/+\/api\/\" target=\"_blank\">api<\/a> is read only, so that&#8217;s not an option. I scanned the list for other votes, and figured I&#8217;d take a bash at <a title=\"Plurk, now supported by Composer\" href=\"http:\/\/plurk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">plurk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Took a couple of attempts, first I tried the <a title=\"plurkoauth by cslung on github\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/clsung\/plurkoauth\" target=\"_blank\">plurkoauth<\/a> library, as <a title=\"Plurk's API details\" href=\"http:\/\/www.plurk.com\/API\" target=\"_blank\">recommended<\/a> by plurk themselves, but that required pecl_http, which was a PITA to install. After a bit more searching I found <a title=\"A PHP wrapper for the plurk API on github\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/carychow\/EternalPlurk\" target=\"_blank\">EternalPlurk<\/a>. It threw up a few fatal errors and a bunch more warnings. But after a few quick bugfixes, it seems to do the job. Thanks to the author.<\/p>\n<p>The code is now live on production, and I&#8217;ve successfully linked my plurk account and posted a plurk. One thing, we automatically use the plurk verb &#8220;says&#8221;, there&#8217;s currently no option to change that, either per message or per account.
